Description
* We have received reports that the general cargo ship SNP GALAXY (IMO: 9546930) experienced an engine failure approximately 18 nautical miles north of Oran, Algeria, on 15 February 2026.
* It is reported that the crew was unable to complete the repairs, and the vessel was subsequently taken under tow by tugs towards Cartagena, Spain, with an ETA of 21 February 2026 for inspection and possible repairs.
* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
