MONTOK

* We have received reports that Cement Carrier, MONTOK experienced a failure of its propulsion system whilst in a position south of Hainan Island, China on 9 July 2023.

* It is reported that the vessel was taken under tow by tug to the Sanya Anchorage, southern Hainan, where the vessel currently remains at anchor.

* It is possible that General Average, Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
